DOL-014B - The GameCube gets its game data from unwriteable disc media, so you will need this accessory to save your place in the game, store your preferences, and preserve any stats of place markers in yours games. This is the Official Nintendo GameCube Memory model DOL-014. Storage capacity is 16MB flash memory (divided into 59 blocks, hence the name), which allows you to save up to 251 blocks of game information. That's more than four times the memory of GCN Memory Card 59. The number of blocks needed to save your game information will vary from game to game. You will only be able to save or load game information for games that are designed to use Memory Cards.
