Battle Cars

sgm0079 - Developed and Published by Namco Limited, "battle cars" was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994. This is a 3rd-Person futuristic racing game that takes you into a post-apocalyptic 22nd century, combining a racing game (ala mario kart) with a fighting game. battle cars resembles FZero in gameplay, but the racing cars are more like Formula One. The scenario is that the greenhouse effect has caused the polar ice caps to melt, and with land becoming as scarce as gold, the countries begin to go underwater. The fight is on for territory and the confrontations have become nuclear. This has forever altered the world as we know it. In this new Road Warrior type age, there was created a new game of racing mayhem called Battle Cars, which is held annually by the IBCA (International Battle Cars Association). You begin this game as a rookie driver, and you must qualify for each race. You have several nice cars to choose from, each designed for high-speed mortal combat. Your goal is to eliminate your opponents by any means necessary so that you can meet the top circuit racer in the ultimate fight for supremacy. There are nine levels, and each has its own unique boss and diverse ways to upgrade your car and weapons. There are 32 rough and tumble race courses to choose from, and all of these courses have their own unique design, style and characteristics. Battle Cars features many cool weapons for you to use, and head-to-head split-screen racing. You can go head to head against computer-controlled competition or compete against your friends (or enemies) in the split-screen mode. The graphics in battle Cars are way above average with many futuristic diverse landscapes, and the sound is very good as well. as noted, the gameplay is excellent, on the level of Fzero. With many over the top special racing moves for you to master, and the bounty of cool cars to choose from, what better platform to take your road rage to a whole higher level thanks.
