007: The World is Not Enough

N64GM024 - Developed by Eurocom Entertainment Software AND Published by Electronic Arts, Inc., "007: The World is Not Enough" was released for the Nintendo 64 game system on October 17, 2000. After the success of Rare's GoldenEye 007 for the Nintendo 64, there is no letdown in this second foray into the genre by Electronic Arts designers. 007: The World is Not Enough is another 007 agent James Bond game based on the movie of the same name, so the game's levels should be familiar if you've seen it. The scenario of this game is that M's friend Sir Robert King is killed in a bombing at the MI6 headquarters, and it is now James Bond's mission to protect his daughter, oil tycoon heiress Elektra from any harm. Like Goldeneye before it, 007: The World is Not Enough is a first-person shooter. It features 10 levels and three difficulty settings and 14 single-player missions that require diverse gameplay styles. Some levels are taken from single-player mode, while others are exclusive to multiplayer. And the levels feature excellent cutscenes and dialogue taken directly from the movie. There are also new games modes (capture the flag, king-the-hill and bases) which make this game that much more enjoyable. And of course, as with every 0067 movie, this game has plenty of new gadgets for James, including darts, Ray beams and grapple hook. The gameplay is great, as there are lots of challenging missions complete with dangerous objectives, and the need to protect innocent bystanders adds a lot of realism and tension to this N64 game. Another big plus is that 007: The World is Not Enough takes full advantage of the N64 memory extension Pak to beef up the graphics and use authentic voice overs. Not only the graphics, but the sound also has been completely upgraded, giving 007 The World is not enough a completely different look and feel from Goldeneye. Its so nice having the characters speak dialogue that lends atmosphere and is true to the movie. There is a four-player multiplayer cooperative mode, which gives you the ability to play with androids. Cheats can be unlocked by fast play, and also new multiplayer maps and modes. All in all, a great game for any 007 action fan. There are several alternate titles for 007: The World is Not Enough, including "James Bond 007: Le Monde ne Suffit pas", "TWINE" and "James Bond: Die Welt ist nicht genug". Pre-owned.
