#gm0018 - Released in 1987 by Nintendo, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out is on everyone's best Video Game list. It is one of the most popular and biggest selling video games of all time. #gm0018 - Released in 1987 by Nintendo of America Inc., Mike Tyson's Punchout was an instant classic. It became one of the most popular and highest selling video games for NES of all time. In this game you boxing game you fight as Little Mac, an up and coming fighter from the Bronx. You are ranked number three and your goal is to fight your way through the rankings to get a shot at the powerful Mike Tyson in your dream title fight! But before that, you must defeat 14 tough challengers who also have the same idea. Punch-Out is one of the hardest and greatest boxing games ever made. You'll only beat this game by using your head as well as your hands. The puches include left and right jabs, and an upercut. One of the beauties of this game is that with practice you can dodge your opponent's blows with some fancy footwork and counter punch! Just like in the real boxing world, fighters get progressively harder to defeat. The later ones will give even the best video game players a hard time. The rounds are three-minute minutes lonf, and there are three rounds. If you or your opponent are knocked down for a 10 count, it is considered a Knock Out (KO). And if you or your opponent are knowked off your feet three times, it is a Technical Knock Out (TKO). A nice aspect of the game is that there are things built into the game that you can give yourself a better chance of getting up after a knock down. If you don't go down for the count and both you and your opponent get through the whole match, then the fight is determined by the Referee. Get to and defeat Mike Tyson is no small task, but do it and you are crowned World Video Boxing Association Champion. The game features beautiful fluid movement, cool graphics for the system, and crisp entertaining music, all which add to making it a delight to play. This game is one of the NES Repair Shop's Top 20 NES games. And personally, I give it 5 stars, as even in it's popularity, it is still one of the most unappreciated NES classics. Pre-owned - Includes Game Only, no manual or instructions are included. Mike Tyson's Punch Out boxing game review by "The Prince" NES Gamer.
