#gm0026 - Released in October of 1988 Donkey Kong Classics features both the original Donkey Kong game, plus a bonus of Donkey Kong Jr. You can choose between one or two players and the level of difficulty. Both games are identical to the original releases. Donkey Kong set the tone for an entire generation of platform games. Here you guide Mario up a scaffold to rescue his girlfriend. In the game Donkey Kong Jr. you are the Jr. who has to rescue your father who has been captured by Mario. Surprisingly, in this game our hero Mario plays the villain to Jr. who is seeking to free his father from the Plumber. In both games the sound and graphics are good and the gameplay more than holds it's own. By themselves, these games are an excellent addition to any NEs collection. Together, Donkey Kong Classics is one of the best bonus game cartridges ever made.
