Dragon Warrior

#gm0087 - Published and developed by the Enic Corporation and released in May of 1986, Dragon Warrior I was at the cutting edge of Roll Playing games and is often credited with starting the whole RPG sensation. It is a top-down platformer where combat is turn-vased. The scenario of Dragon Warrior 1 is that long ago in a land called Alefgard, there was a brave warrior named Erdrick. He had defeated the Dragonlord, but now the Dragonlord has come back and stolen the Ball of light that was used to defeat him, and the land is once more shrouded in darkness. The object of the game is for you, a descendant of Erdrick, to seek out the dragons lair, recover this treasure, and restore peace to the land. Universally considered an early classic, Dragon Warrior is definately a NES collector's item. The game is called "Dragon Quest" in Japan.
