#gm0091 - Developed and published by Capcom Co., Ltd, and released in December of 1985, 1942 is a port of the arcade game. It has become a NES classic for many reasons. One is that the gameplay is simple, and yet very addicting. This is vertically scrolling shooter made for either one or two players. The scenario is that you are a daring fighter pilot, code named "Super Ace," stationed on an aircraft carrier in the year is 1942. You pilot your plane into battle against the enemy fighters of WWII. These battles take place both sea and over land. A key part of the game is that when you destroy certain plane formations you may be able to gather several different power ups to increase your fire power. There are unlimited continues, and you will need them as 1942 is a very challenging game. You will have to go through 32 stages to beat this game, all are similar and yet a challenge. 1942 is an exciting shooter that requires a lot of concentration.
