GCG0102 - Developed and published by Capcom Production Studios and Entertainment Inc., P.N.03 was released on September 9, 2003. This is a 3rd-Person Person futuristic action adventure shooter that is under-appreciated. In fact, it may be one of the most underrated games I've played. Product Number 03 is a whole lot more than levels and shooting. There are a lot of surprises that test you and increasingly difficult enemies make the game a great challenge. You play PN 03 as gyrating Vanessa Z. Schneider, a shapely and "Rock n' Rollin" freelance mercenary who has been employed to eliminate rebel robots from the Computer Arms Management System (CAMS). CAMS was an automated defense defense for the planet, but something has gone terribly wrong and and the system is out of control. The entire human population of an off-world colony is dead, and its up to the Rockin' Vanessa Schneider to put an end to the out of control system. She has lots of incentive, because CAMS is responsible for the death of of her family. Bonus items will be no problem as Vanessa abilities can be upgraded to destroy the CAMS, and in combat she can perform acrobatic moves, even dodging enemy fire. Vanessa shoots single blasts from her hands, or she can take on multiple enemies simultaneously by utilizing a number of combos. These are tied to the nine upgradable suits found in the game. The gameplay is straight-forward enough, as P.N.03 is all about being one step ahead of your enemies. The camera angels are well designed, so you will rarely need to adjust them. You basically go through the rooms of each level killing the renegade robots, and then defeat the boss at the end of each level. Like any good shooter! Graphically the game looks great. Nice detail, the autobots are sharp and the explosions look very realistic. There are 11 linear levels to explore. Nice little surprise at the end (which I won't spoil for you) which you won't see coming. This game is also known as "Product Number 3" and is one of those guilty pleasures for those who like hard-core cult games. ...Oh alright, Vanessa's HOT too!! Pre-owned. Includes case, disk and instruction manual - Plays on Gamecube or Wii - Rarity Rating C+
