NES RF Shield (Bottom)

$6.99

#pt002 - NES Parts - The bottom RF shield is essentially the same as the top, but protects the bottom of the circuit board. It is a piece of coated sheet metal whose purpose is to protect your NES's RF output from getting corrupted by stray electromagnetic interference from the logic circuitry. It is also designed to minimize outside interference from any stray fields of adjacent electronic devices such as Radio, TV, mobile phones, etc. The RF shield is an integral part of the NES design and removing it could significantly affect the sensitivity of the board. The quality of the video output will be degraded because of all the interference the video signal will pick up, and picture quality will be affected. Therefore it should never be left out of your NES stystem. Removing the old shield is easy as removing the seven screws that hold it in place. Adding a shield or replacing the shield is accomplished by reversing the process. Part #PT002
