This game is the very rare 3rd installment of the Contra game series for the NES, and features a combination of 3rd-Person Perspective, Platform, Side-Scrolling, Top-Down, action with the same trademark Contra run and shoot gameplay. This is a awesome sequel to one of the greatest classic NES games of all time, and very difficult to find in this condition. The scenario is that you take control of the Contra Force, which is a 4 man elite special forces team of independent law enforcement soldiers. The force consists of Commando Smith, Burn, Iron and Beans. Each soldier has their own unique abilities with diverse specialties in weapons. In Contra Force you will make use of rocket launchers, flame throwers, bazookas, land mines, rolling attacks, homing missiles, rifles, time bombs and more. And you'll need them all because a terrorist group known only as D.N.M.E., has kidnapped the city's chief commissioner. Yes, something worse than aliens this time, they must fight really bad, bad humans. And the city's only hope for the Commissioner's rescue is the Contra Force. Commanding this Contra Force you must trek through Neo City and do what you can to protect it from the terrorist group D.N.M.E., and rescue the commissioner. Contra Force consists of five separate missions that involve overhead action as well as side-scrolling levels. The story will take you through diverse locations such as aboard a submarine, through an airport and airplane, across a city dock and through diverse buildings. And like the previous NES contra games, the graphics are great! the sound is just outstanding, and the gameplay excellent. The best strategy is to change between the four commandos and use their abilities. You can also find secret passages and a large arsenal of weapons for you to use in the game. For one or two players. This gem "Contra Force" was one of the last games made for the NES, and so production was very limited. The perfect addition to any game collection or library. As the 3rd Contra game for the Nes, it is sometimes known as Contra 3 or Contra III (Though Contra III is the name of an entirely different SNES game).
