Final Fantasy

$31.99

#gm0037 - Released in January of 1987, published and developed by Square Co., Ltd., Final Fantasy is officially the longest role-playing game series for video games. And this part I is where it all started. Created by Hironobu Sakaguchi, this game is engrossing, and has epic game play. It is so ground breaking that it's been imitated more than Arnold Schwarzenegger. Along with Zelda, Final Fantasy is the RPG for the NES console that sucked people in and revitalized the video game market. The scenario of this game is that you are in medieval times when the known world is in darkness and rots from the inside out. All the people can hope for is that an ancient prophecy is true and will soon be fulfilled. The prophecy states that, "When the world is veiled in darkness, four warriors will come..." This is where you come in. You, playing as the four characters of the game that you have selected from six classes. The Fighter, class, the Thief, the White Mage, the Black Mage, the Red mage, and the Blue Belt. As this band of travelling warriors, you must complete your quest to re-light the four orbs that would bring peace and harmony back to the world. As far as doing battle, when your party fights and gains a victory, they gain experience and that improves their skill level so that they can inflict more damage to enemies. The game uses turn-based battle where your enemies wait until you (as your party) have all performed your moves via a menu. When each is performed is based on each character's agility statistic. Damage inflicted or received is determined by hit points. When you have no more hit points, your character can no longer fight. There are three primary locations in which to play. Cites or towns, The over world, and the Dungeons. In the cities you are safe and can buy armor or weapons, purchase goods or gain useful information. It's in the overworld where you will randomly meet enemies and do battle. This is a classic and one of the best RPG of all time. I guess that's why they are still making versions for today's game platforms. This game is also known as "Final Fantasy I," and the Chinese version of this game is called "Zui Zhong Huanxiang." Pre-owned - Includes Game Only, no manual or instructions are included. - Final Fantasy for NES game review by Prince NES Gamer.
