The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle

  • Manufactured by: NES Games, Parts & Service

#gm0121 - Developed by the Seika Corporation and published by Kemco, "The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle" was released in July of 1989. This is a "rare" and unique game that the whole family will simply love to play. Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle for NES was this Bunny's first game (the other was Birthday Blowout). I've not seen any other game that plays quite like this one, as it's very innovative, original and a lot of fun for all. Definitely the only adventure / Maze / Arcade game of its kind on the NES. The scenario is that you play as Bugs Bunny and your rabbit sweetheart (Bunny Honey) has been kidnapped by evil loony toons, Wile E. Coyote, Yosemite Sam, Daffy Duck, and four unique Sylvester cats. And they are intent on preventing you from rescuing her. To get to her you must move Bugs around the 60 levels of the Crazy Castle and collect all of the carrots. Each level has two screens and Bugs has to get 8 carrots from each level before he can move on to the next. You can thwart the incessant toons by pushing objects onto them making it easier to get the carrots, or you can try to avoid them, which is the more difficult way to play. The music in The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle is really great and very catchy. The graphics are nice as well, especially the great variety of cooly designed backgrounds. And there are lots of them in this game. This game is a worthy purchase, as it's unique and fun, so if you like unusual action maze games, pick this one up. A rare item, but definitely worth the effort to find it. (Rarity Rating B+)
