Mach Rider

Mach Rider is a 3rd-Person Perspective motorcycle combat racing action and shooter game. It is set in a post-apocalyptic future world in the year 2112. The earth's population has been driven to the brink of extinction by Alien forces of evil known as Quad runners, who have invaded the planet. They have killed or enslaved nearly all of humanity. Precious few that remain have gone into hiding, or have become resistance fighters. You, represented by Mach Rider, are one such fighter who battles the invaders as you search for survivors in the city. You will race across ten diverse sectors on your motorcycle searching for the location of the aliens' home base so that you can destroy it and bring peace back to the planet. There are three different modes of play in Mach Rider. The Level editor mode, which is like the Excite Bike editor) that allows the creation of tracks. The Fighting mode, and the Endurance and Solo Course mode. Mach Rider gives you a realistic sense of speed as you zip your motorcycle by Quadrunners or make your way between oil spills, rocks and other impediments and obstructions. Mach Rider is one of Nintendo's forgotten hits that is both fun and addicting. It can best be summed up as a game with interesting design features that are an acquired taste.
