#gm0160 - Developed by Square Co., Ltd., and published by Acclaim Entertainment, Inc., 3-D Worldrunner was released in September of 1987. This is one of the early NES games and is challenging and fun. The scenario is that you play the hero who makes the leap between the 8 worlds in Solar System #517 to fight the wicked Grax and his army of Serpent creatures. 3D Battles of World Runner is a unique third person, forward scrolling game where you shoot fire balls at things in your way, while jumping over various types of chasms to reach the next level in each world. While doing this, you collect stars as you dodging the enemies. Bonus items can be collected in the air while jumping, on the ground, or on top of various columns. It goes without saying that to become proficient in this game you must master your ability to jump. Another unique option of this game was the ability to view it in three D with a pair of 3-D glasses (which were included in the original box). In japan this game is called "Tobidase Daisakusen," which means "The great plan of Tobidase." Rarity Rating C-. 3-D Battles of Worldrunner NES Game Review by Prince "Nes Gamers."
