#gm0205 - Developed by Electronic Arts, Inc. and Published by Ultra Games, "Kings of the Beach" was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in the year 1990. Widely considered as the best Volleyball game on the NES, Kings of the Beach is endorsed by Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklos. It is a two on two action packed beach volleyball game played on super famous beaches like Hawaii, Rio and even Sydney. Kings of the Beach has a whopping 15 levels, and 20 great volly-ball challengers that you have to beat. Both the game design and control are excellent, as you will have to outsmart your opponents in order to be crowned King of the Beach. Be fast with your team in performing smart serves, great thumps, and lightning spikes, and you are well on your way. Great control here as you block, dive and spike. The graphics are also nicely done, with good attention to detail, nice scenic backdrops and well-defined players. As for the music and sounds, Kings of the Beach has a bumpn' beach tune that will have you rocking as you play. And there are some humorous quips, arguing and even some cute signs of anger on missed shots. There are also many nice modes, including a training mode to help you learn the moves. A tournament mode that features passwords, and cooperative and competitive multiplayer mode. And the action in this NES game is great either against the computer or your friends. It also supports up to four people playing, using the 4 adapter. The full title of this NES game is "Kings of the Beach: Professional Beach Volleyball".
