The Hunt For Red October

$10.99

sgm0113 - Developed by Riedel Software Productions, Inc. and Published by Hi-Tech Expressions, Inc., "The Hunt For Red October" was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in January of 1993. The Hunt for Red October is a 3rd-person perspective, side view arcade shooter game. The Hunt Goes On! You are Captain Marko Ramius commander of the most advanced nuclear submarine ever created -- the Red October. In a desperate attempt to defect to the United States you must evade detection from an onslaught of enemy forces both underwater and on the surface. Danger comes at you from all sides -- even from within. It's destroy or be destroyed! And that's just for starters. Even more perilous missions await you as the Red October takes to the sea against illegal arms merchants nuclear terrorists and environmental outlaws. The game is challenging because as the submarine operator, you have to dodge the canisters dropping from ships, navigate canyons and sea ranges, and destroy the underwater weapons on the bottom floor which are also firing at you. It definitely requires multi-tasking. One nice thing about it is moving at your own pace through the level; it is not timed and you can turn your sub around to fire at other submarines pursuing you without having to watch the clock. At the end of some of the levels, as your sub nears land, you then have to battle the enemy base which is rapidly firing at you. Each mission is an incredible challenge to your skill, reflexes and command abilities. All together it's the greatest submarine adventure of all time! Pre-owned - Includes Game Only, no manual or instructions are included.
