Final Fantasy III

sgm0005 - Developed and published by Square Co., Ltd., and released in April of 1990, Final Fantasy III set the role playing game community on it's head, becoming an instant classic. One of the greatest RPG's of all time, it is one of the more sought after titles. The turn-based battle engine for this game has been improved from previous versions of this series. And it makes use of a very unique role playing system where your four players can change between various roles in order to help defeat foes or make it easier to tackle difficult situations. You can change between weapons, jobs and armors. Each of the roles has its own strengths and weaknesses as well as a special desperation attack, so you will have to decide the opportune time to use what, when. The scenario for this game is that a remote village named Ur is home of four orphan boys who were schooled by the Topapa the local priest. When the game begins, you give names to these four boys. They go deep into the caverns of the earth to retrieve the Crystal of wind, and it is there that it speaks to them of their quest and chosen status. Final Fantasy 3 is replete with typical RPG dungeons and puzzle elements, but the narrative is one of the best in any RPG. The graphics for this game are some of the best created for the SNES, with great pixilated sprites, and the sound effects and music are icing on the cake. Truly, FF3 is a classic title, and a definite must have for any SNES collector. Pre-owned. Includes game cartridge only. Final Fantasy III game review by Prince "NES Gamer."
