sgm0197 - Developed by Digital Illusions HB and Published by GameTek, Inc., "Pinball Fantasies" was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in February of 1995. It is a rare SNES game that was the sequel to Pinball Dreams, and although it was initially released for Amiga computers, the title was later ported to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. After the success of Pinball Dreams, this sequel featuring four new tables was created. In the game, players can choose between any of the four available playfields, both of which have their own thematic and main objectives in order to obtain the highest score possible. Like Pinball Dreams, Pinball Fantasies is an arcade-style pinball game featuring four types of pinball tables and each one has their own main objective, gameplay mechanics and thematic. The game has various levels of difficulty and the player can set the number of balls for play, among other gameplay options. In certain versions of the game, high-scores and other settings made by the player are automatically kept via the cartridge's internal EEPROM, as well as reset the internal memory of the cartridge to erase saved high-scores and personal settings. The gameplay is much the same as the first game, with realistic physics, multi-player options and a high score table to aim for. The tables are Partyland, Speed Devils, Billion Dollar Gameshow and Stones 'n' Bones, taking in a funfair, racing cars, a tacky game-show, and a graveyard. Each one has a range of ramps, combos, light sequences and targets to shoot, as well as general themes which are less influenced by real tables than those in Pinball Dreams.
