It is an updated sequel to the classic Pitfall!, which debuted on the Atari 2600 in 1982 as the original and the first game of its type. Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure is a side-scrolling adventure game that revolves around Pitfall Harry, who comes out of retirement to explore the jungles of Central America searching for the lost treasures of the Mayans. But on the expedition, Pitfall Harry is kidnapped by the evil spirit shadow of an ancient Mayan warrior. In this game, you will play as Pitfall Harry's son, Pitfall harry Jr. And it's up to you to complete the expedition and search the Mayan jungle to save your father from the evil that lurks there. Standing in your way are a collection of obstacles, including traps, crocodiles, gargoyles and undead skeletons. You must bungee jump, swing from vines, traverse deep mines riding in abandoned mining cars, in order to make your way safely through the deadly Mayan Jungle. Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure has 13 action packed levels and 5 worlds that are full of adventure and challenges. The graphics are fantastic and animations are amazing. All the level designs are incredible. The sound in Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure is simply spectacular. he music is moody, and the sound effects of the jungle right on the mark. As a bonus (if you're skilled enough), you can find the entire original Atari 2600 PITFALL hidden in the game.
