SGM0042 - Developed by NCS Corporation and Published by Konami, Inc., "Cybernator" was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1993. Cybernator is a very rare, side-scrolling, futuristic mech combat action shooter war game. The scenario is that it is the year 2065, and the planet is divided into two warring factions called the Federation and the Axis. And they are at war with each other over territory because fosil fuels have become very limited. The federation side has a military base on the Moon and has enlisted Jake (played by you) as a member of the elite Cybernator force to help launch a full-scale preemptive attack of on the Federation. Jake was drafted into the Pacific States' Marine Corp, and these elite units the soldiers ride are called Assault Suits. They are basically innovative Cybernator man-piloted combat mechs suits. You climb into your suits, which makes you as a huge metal warrior 80 feet tall with a cockpit situated at the top. That is where Jake controls all of its actions and movements in battle. There are seven frightening levels in Cybernator, some of which take place as horizontally scrolling shooters. Each of these level will have a diverse collection of enemies and at the end, the boss, which must be defeated in order to progress to the next level. Whatever the threat of these levels, you will have to battle your way through all these combat zones if you expect to win out in the end. Your assault suits can jump and are also made to use jetpacks periodically that will increase altitude. You will start of the game of Cybernator with an assault suit equipped with a punch weapon for Melee and a shot gun weapon that spreads out fire in front. These weapons effectiveness can be improved by gathering of "P" for your four weapons systems. These Power-ups are left when yoy defeat an enemy. But various more effective weapons will be found during the course of the game. The graphics in Cybernator are intense, the gameplay and control fluid and the sound effects very appropriate for the theme. Cybernator is a unique futuristic game of the war of the future, where you will have to kill or be killed. Cybernator is known as "Assault Suits Valken" in Japan.
