Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge

#sgm0103 - Developed by Intelligent Systems Co., Ltd. and Published by Nintendo of America Inc., "Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge" was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in December of 1993. This is an underrated 1st-Person Perspective futuristic Battlemech action shooter game, that is more than worthy sequel to Battle Clash. Though good games were hard to find that were designed for the Super Scope Light Gun accessory, Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge was the exception. While the Game play is identical to Battle Clash, there are a lot more to this game, including three charge indicators, extra weapons to use, more than a dozen new enemies and a more challenging storyline. Also the targeting has been greatly improved, your ability to evade is better and the weapon systems have been upgraded. The scenario of the game is that after the events that transpired in Battle Clash, Emperor Anubis is back in power with new machines designed to rule the world. Using better giant robots (The Standing Tanks or STs), his government is holding the world hostage. The world is in trouble, and it is up to you, as a top gunner piloting Michael Anderson's new and improved Falcon STs, to bring a halt to this tyranny. Use the Super Scope to destroy the enemy battle bots that you encounter. Its movement is automatically handled by the in-game computer, but the player must keep the enemy robot in his gun sight and fire at the different sections, while also being able to intercept enemy missiles and counter-attacks. Hit the enemy robots weak spot and that will increase the damage you inflict. The graphic in Metal Combat are super, the game play outstanding and the music very catchy. Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge features great power-ups you can pick up after certain stages, like plasma bombs or Neutron Beams. There is also a battery back up that saves your best times and highest scores. Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge is alternatively known as "Metal Kombat," "BC2," "battle Clash II," and "Battle Crash 2" and supports the Super Scope 6 light Gun.
