sgm0095 - Developed and Published by HAL Laboratory, Inc., "HyperZone" was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in March of 1992. Hyper Zone is a 3rd-Person 3D Perspective futuristic aircraft action shooter game that is reminiscent of Space Harrier. It is unique in that it was the first SNES to offer a behind-the-ship, "3D" view, and not the traditional sidescrolling format. You will fly many diverse futuristic aircraft and shoot your way to victory through numerous obstacles and villains. A nice little thing about Hyperzone for SNES is that it has F-Zero type repair strips that you can fly over to fix any damage your craft sustains. If your craft is going too fast, you can brake, but also remember that flying too slow damages your ship. As far as weaponry, it is standard, with charging possible by holding down the fire button. Stay within the tracks or your ship will be damaged, but if you are smart, you can also use the out of bounds to your advantage. There are four levels, and at the end of end of each level, a boss must to be defeated. Hyperzone is an excellent shooter game that was ahead of its time. Fun for everyone who likes shooter style games. Pre-owned - Includes Game Only - UPC: 040458855029 - ESRB Rating N/A - Rarity Rating C-. HyperZone Review by "SNES Gamer".
