This is a rare game loosely based upon the first season of the TV series, but is an original adventure with exciting gameplay and a great story-line. You play SeaQuest DSV as an officer of the United Earth Oceans Organization (UEO). The game scenario is that there is an evil force in the depths of the oceans, and it is out to destroy the Earth's ecosystem. The world needs you to become the captain of a DSV submarine, and then navigate the oceans to defeat this menace to society and save the world. You begin Seaquest DSV as a rookie officer inside a training simulation. When you successfully complete this training, you are assigned to the crew of the seaQuest DSV (Deep Submergence Vessel) where you navigate the with a map to various places where you will fulfill the tasks that will ultimately lead to the restoration of the world's ecosystem. You will have tasks such as attacking enemies, and you will have weapons like torpedoes to accomplish these missions. You'll also have to avoid depth charges that are dropped from above. In your ocean exploration you'll have to use sonar to find valuable sunken ships. In SeaQuest DSV you also have the on-board robotics to cruise undersea wrecks to find necessary items and hidden treasures. Other tasks include rescue and disarmament. But you must be careful, because damaging underwater property will result in money being deducted from you. And that is cash you will need to buy vehicles and resupply weapons. SeaQuest DSV is a exciting and challenging game to play, with nice graphics, solid strategy and gameplay, and many diverse vehicles to buy and command.
