Dual Heroes for the N64 is a side-scrolling action game where futuristic fighters clothed in special armor battle against each other to see who will stand as the ultimate fighter. Choose between eight elite warriors, each with their own unique sills, special attacks and styles. The list includes the Botanist Hana, the cyborg assassin Retsu, the space pilot Gai, the military soldier Gun, the millionaire Hoe, the bionic beast Juie, the dancer Kumo and the commander Zen. Nintendo 64's Dual Heroes also has nice options such as the ability to adjust the number of rounds in the competition (the default number is three). Another good feature is that it allows you to adjust the difficulty level from 1 to 3, and also to change the amount of time you have to complete a round in the competition.
With a total of five modes of play, DualHeroes offers a style for everyone. You can play in Practice Mode and learn your character's style and moves without having to worry about losing the game. The Story Mode consists of you doing battle with each challenger until one of you emerges victorious. The VR or Virtual Robot mode, you can have your fighter battle against a new collection of 7 virtual enemies. The Robot Mode allows you to train a computer-controlled character, importing your own unique fighting style to battle against other players opposing robots. And finally, there is the Multiplayer "versus" Mode where you can go one on one against a friend or battle the computer AI, with the reward being one of your awards earned in Story mode (Requires controller Pak with at least 20 free pages), or if you're not up for that, just for bragging rights.
