This is a 1st Person, 3rd Person Perspective Stock car racing game that is the sequel to NASCAR Revolution. It features all the 17 genuine licensed tracks from NASCAR '99, plus the new additional venue of Homestead-Miami Speedway. They are all replicated accurately. The game also has several fantasy road courses for you. I love this game because you can play either as, or against 33 real active Nascar 2000 drivers and seven legend (e.g. Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Adam Petty) of the circuit. You can also create your own completely original driver to compete against them. This N64 game allows you to make plenty of modifications to your vehicle and the "Options" mode allows you to adjust the action depending on your own personal preferences. While racing you have a pit crew chief as well as a spotter to assist and call out when you should pull into the pit help and changes during the race. The graphics are good and each of the racer's cars are replicated in outstanding detail and configured exactly as it was for the 1999 season, and that includes down to the car's decals. Even the paint jobs are well done and appear very authentic, as well as the backgrounds. You can also run the race from one of six different and beautiful driving views. The game control, which already good in previous version, features smooth and solid handling, and has been updated with better physics and a sharper AI that makes more a more realistic racing design. This Nascar 2000 game has some of the best special effects you'll ever see in this type racing game. The audio is also good, featuring veterans Bob Jenkins and Benny Parsons as the broadcasters providing the commentary. Nascar 2000 game modes include Quick Race Mode, Single Race Mode, Full Weekend Mode, Championship Series Modes, King Mode where you run against Richard Petty in a series of races, and of course Multiplayer Mode that has support for you and three friends to compete against each other. NASCAR 2000 re-creates the sport of NASCAR racing more accurately than any game ever has before it, and is quick addicting. I highly recommend it.
