Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness

N64GM009 - Developed by Mass Media, Inc. and published by Namco Limited, "Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness" was released for the N64 game system on November 12, 2000. This updated Pacman classic adheres to the spirit of the original Arcade version, while changing it just enough to make it more interesting, exploratory, adventurous and challenging. With combining a new 3-D style of exploration of Pac-Land with the classic tried and true Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness has hit on a winning combination. It deftly introduces new elements to the universally recognized game that will hold the average gamers interest play after play. There are four mystical regions of this world called "The four Wonders," and located in these regions are the four Gems of virtue. The Gems are called Generosity, Truth, Wisdom and Courage, and they have the power to keep Pac-Land safe from evil. The problem is, an unknown evil enemy has decended upon Pac Land and transformed the Enchanted Castle into a haunted house of sorts. This has resulted in the evil shroud around the four Wonders, and these regions are now divided from the rest of Pac-Land by force fields. It is up to you (playing as Ms. Pac-Man) to enter the 3D maze worlds of the four wonders, and do away with the evil that lurks over Pac-Land. This game will not bore you as Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness has more than 180 labyrinths. And your mission is to traverse them all and eat all the fruits and dots there. But you'll have to use your head also, as there are basic puzzle-solving tasks that you need to accomplish in order to continue on your path. Tasks like moving blocks, finding dots around corners or figuring out how to proceed. Patience and thoroughness is the key. And in keeping with the classic Pac spirit, the gameplay is basic and the controls simple. This makes Ms Pacman fun and playable for just about everyone of preference and age group. The music is outstanding and even toe-tapping/head bobbing good in places. The graphics are what you would expect for a Pac-world, and the sound effects very nice. There is a Multiplayer mode where you can play against the computer or compete in games like Tag. This near-perfect replica of the original arcade version of Ms. Pac-Man stays true to its roots, while upgrading so that the game does not get stale or feel monotonous. The replay value is great, as there are many hidden stages and mini-games that will keep you coming back for more. Ms. Pac-Man: Maze Madness will provide hours of entertainment to novice and seasoned Pac-man fans of all ages. Also known as ms pac man. Pre-owned. Includes game cartridge only.
