N64GM019 - Developed by Iguana Entertainment, Inc. and published by Acclaim Entertainment, Inc., "Turok 2: Seeds of Evil" was released for the Nintendo 64 gaming system on December 10, 1998. This is the highly anticipated sequel to "Turok: Dinosaur Hunter" and is a landmark action adventure that is well worth the price. The storyline picks up where the first Turok left off. After Turok defeated the Chronoceptor and dispatched them into a volcano, that action awakened an evil force called "The Primagen". The Primagen was trapped and buried in a wrecked space craft in the volcano at the center of the Lost Land. His evil mission is to merge the earth with the nether world. And so now, having been unintentionally released the Primagen, it is up to Turok to once again fight to return peace to the land. There are many objectives for Turok to complete in each level, including tasks like freeing prisoners, rescuing children, protecting the totem and detonating explosives in the enemy ammunition hangers. Turok 2: Seeds of Evil has a lot of new weapons and better gameplay. As far as gameplay, the AI of this game is outstanding, with enemies using complex moves and using cover making this a great challenge. The sound is still as realistic and stunning as ever, and the music appropriate. As far as graphics goes, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is compatible with Nintendo's expansion pak 4-Meg RAM kit, allowing the game to run in high resolution making the visuals even that much more gorgeous and eye-popping. You can also play in a hi-res letter-boxed mode if you so choose. If you thought the first Turok had nice graphics, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil demonstrates the next level graphics. Moreover, the repetitive texture patterns of the first Turok game are gone. The six levels in Turok 2: Seeds of Evil all have their own exclusive textures so that no two of them look the same. Brilliantly rendered, the attention to detail in each of these levels is so outstanding its inspiring. The enemies and bosses are rendered so realistically, you can't help but marvel at them. All in all Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is one of the all time best challenging games for the N64 platform. The alternate title for Turok 2: Seeds of Evil in JAPAN IS, "Violence Killer: Turok New Generation". Pre-owned. Includes game cartridge only. Rarity Rating C - Review by NES Gamer
