Road Rash 64

n64gm133 - Developed by Pacific Coast Power and Light and Published by THQ Inc., "Road rash 64" was released for the Nintendo 64 (N64) Entertainment System in November of 1999. This is a 3rd-Person Perspective motorcycle racing fighting adventure game, with the emphasis being on combat. Originally scheduled to be a port of Road Rash 3D, it ended up as an original game that still somewhat follows the old formula. And while Road Rash is a game series that's been around since the Sega Genesis, what I like about this game is that it returns serious combat to the series. And what that does is allow this Nintendo 64 offering to feel like Road Rash once again. You have the two basic missions. Number one is win the race, and number two is to do it while beating the heck out of your opponents. The game features two types of motorcycles. The first are cruisers, which are strong, durable and fast on straightways. The second are the sport bikes, which are less durable but are aerodynamic, fast and nimble on the curves. The graphics are nothing to write home about without the expansion pak, but using the RAM expansion Pak really lifts the game into hi-resolution mode and cleans up the slightly blurry graphics. And the gameplay aspect are quite good, featuring excellent control and fluid action. Well worth inviting your friends over for a battle as attacking competitors while driving a motorcycle is kinda fun. And as such, it is a great multiplayer platform that will keep you challenged for hours. The sound is fair and features music by popular recording artists as the Mermen and Sugar Ray. Road Rash 64 is also known as RR64, and yes it has its share of both good and bad aspects, but overall this is a nice little challenging game. Especially for two players.
