Mario Kart: Double Dash

GCG0008 - Developed and published by (EAD) Nintendo of America Inc. "Mario Kart: Double Dash" was released on November 17, 2003. It is a rare 3rd-Person Perspective racing/driving platform that set the bar high for enjoyable racing games. This is still one of the most popular games for the Gamecube because it so effectively blends breakneck speed arcade-style racing with auto combat in a seamless multiplayer game. This Mario Kart is more focused on co-op play and weapons. As far as the characters go, they all have have special diverse attacks. For example, Donkey and Diddy Kong will drop a giant banana on the track, the Mario brothers can toss fireballs, and Wario and Waluigi toss out explosives. Mario Kart: Double Dash keeps all the features and weapons of the previous game version (like stars Mushrooms and Red Shells), but also adds some new items like Giant Koopa shells and Chain Chomps. Another difference is that there are two racers in each kart instead of one. And a lot of the strategy and challenge in the game comes in knowing when to change the characters places in the kart, and mastering the powerslide (drifting). Mastering drifting on corners is absolutely fundamental to success in Double Dash. In single player mode you can choose between three speed and difficulty classes. The 50cc, the 100cc or the 150cc. You can go into the time trial mode and try to beat your own best time, or take part in one of the grand prix cups. But Mario Kart: Double Dash also has a multi-player cooperative mode that supports more than one player on one kart. In other words, you can team up with a friend or family member, so that while one of you drive the kart, the other can effectively use the power-ups. It has great graphics and aesthetics to create an almost-endlessly fun multiplayer game. This is also one of the few games that can effectively use the LAN mode, which allows up to eight different GameCubes to be networked together using the GameCube's broadband adapter. Bottom line, there is no denying the inherent character and feature quality of Double Dash. It is on (and deserves to be) most Game Cube "Must Have" lists! Pre-owned. Includes case, disk and instruction manual - Plays on Gamecube or Wii - Rarity Rating C+
