The Urbz: Sims in the City

GCG0092 - Developed by Maxis Software Inc., and published by Electronic Arts, Inc., "The Urbz: Sims in the City" was released on November 9, 2004. This is a isometric perspective game, the latest reworking of the title based on developer Maxis' successful and popular game. It starts out slow because at the beginning, the game doesn't give you a lot of cash to do things, but the greatness of this game is in getting cash, developing your character, and as you unlock everything, it opens up a world of possibilities. In this scenario, the Sims have finally moved out of the suburbs, so instead of restricting itself to small neighborhoods, it all takes place in the big city where one's reputation is the key to success. In fact, it is your top priority, because your objective is to improve your reputation by socializing with urbs, in the different neighborhoods. There are lots of people you can meet (over sixty unique characters) and either start a friendship, defeat them or just mess with them. You create up to four different "urbs," and then control one of them at a time. For the first time in a Sims game, you can work jobs in one of nine districts, and purchase clothes that affect how likely other characters are to be friendly with you (your social reputation). So dress to impress and be popular. There are more varied environments, the scenery is more colorful, and more interesting characters. You can get tattoos and body piercings, and you own and decorate one of three different apartments. The sound is very good, having an eclectic style featuring hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas. Your objectives, inventory and messages are handled with your character's cell phone. What you will like about this version is that there is a less-stringent time management system than in previous Sims games. The Urbz: Sims in the City is a good game that offers a totally different experience from previous versions. Pre-owned. Includes case, disk and instruction manual - Plays on Gamecube or Wii - Rarity Rating C
