You start the game by choosing one of five different Pro snowboarders to play as, and race through 15 tracks in one of three different difficulty setting. 1080 degrees avalanche is fast paced action that features a number of nice touches not found in other snowboarding games. There are four different types of adventure mode, and a lots of nice perks. You learn to do stunts and tricks to earn valuable points, or take on the extra modes such as Gate Challenge, Trick Attack and time trial.
The gameplay is outstanding, and 1080 Degrees Avalanche offers something different from other snowboarding titles. 1080: Avalanche allows you to race against an Avalanche itself. hang in the air just in front of a roaring avalanche, dodging trees as they fall, and boulders of ice and snow as they race past you. A lot of realism as even the screen will shake, but if you want to be the best, you have to take on the elements and win.
From a graphics and sound point of view, this game is very impressive, as aesthetically it almost puts you where you think you have necessity for a warm coat.
