It is a 1st-Person and 3rd-person Perspective futuristic game that loosely follows the second matrix movie. This game casts you as Niobe or Ghost, who are the captain and first officer of the rebel ship Logos, who are out to save Zion. each have their own unique skills in the game. While Ghost is great in battles and an expert marksman with firearms, Niobe has it all. She is a masterful pilot, great in combat situations and adept in the Matrix. Like in the movie, you will slow down time and dodge bullets or avoid enemies or oncoming obstacles. Most of your battles will be up against cops, security guards and SWAT forces. And you can use weapons such as an automatic pistol, submachine gun, shotgun and grenades. You also have the option of getting up close and personal with hand-to-hand combat. Some moves you need to master are the kicks, chokes, grabbing and punching. But beware of the well-placed agents that you are liable to run into from time to time. Enter The Matrix features the unique element, hacking. So when you select hacking from the main menu, you're thrown into a command line interface, where you can hack and discover doors to drop extra weapons into a level, enter cheat codes, watch the game's FMV, look up information, etc., etc. Enter The Matrix for GameCube has a sick soundtrack, complete with outstanding orchestrated music and voiceovers.
