GCG0171 - Developed and published by Electronic Arts, Inc., "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" was released on June 02, 2004. This 3D action adventure game is based on the third book and movie of the series. And while it is primarily targeted at kids or children, it is also challenging and fun for older fans of the Potter series. In this offering the gameplay has been expanded upon from the previous Harry Potter games, as now you can now play as not only Harry, but also as his best friends, Ron and Hermione. In this game they must work together as a team, as often one of the particular players skills are required. Teamwork is the best way to avoid the pitfalls and solve challenging puzzles. Each player has their own unique skills that will come in handy. Ron has a special ability that he can sense hidden areas. Harry is the athletic and can thus climb ropes and leap across gorges. And being petite, Hermione can fit into small areas where the others can't. Playing as these three you will face another year of adventure at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Our friends are accosted by the evil escaped convict, Sirius Black. They will have to avoid soul-stealing Dementors as they try to solve the mystery of Black, and uncover the truth of his role during the night Harry became known as "The Boy Who Lived". You navigate through the castle of Hogwarts by completing quest goals that range from searching for particular items, helping others or attending classes. Once you have completed your tasks, you can then move on to the next level or explore Hogwarts and learn amazing new spells. This game has a great story line, the gameplay is fantastic and the spellcasting action is intense. Players can also control Hedwig the owl, or Buckbeak the hippogriff to accomplish other tasks and overcome obstacles. All in all, The Prisoner of Azkaban is a nice game that should serve as a cool, interactive way to re-experience the movie once again on a different level. Pre-owned in top condition. Rated E. Includes case, disk and instruction manual - Plays on Gamecube or Wii - Rarity Rating C+
