Odama With Box, Microphone and Stand (complete)

GCG0210 - Developed by Vivarium Inc. and published by Nintendo of America Inc., "Odama" was released for the gamecube system on April 10, 2006. Odama is a 3rd-Person Perspective pinball type game set in ancient Japan. The legendary general Yamanouchi Kagetora is intent on avenging his father's death, and has thus devised the most ingenious weapon ever to hit the medieval battlefield. It is called the Odama. Basically it is a gigantic metal ball that will destroy whatever it strikes. You play representing the Yamanouchi clan, and the basic goal of each mission is to try to bring the clan's powerful treasure, the Ninten Bell, closer to the Karasuma Keep. You do this by guiding the bell from the bottom to the top of the screen, mowing down the members of the opposing army with giant flippers directing the Odama. Direct the Odama over the enemy and their defenses so that you will have an easier time leading the Ninten Bell to its destination. But make sure the Odama doesn't crush your own soldiers. The Odama game also takes of advantage of the GCN or gamecube microphone (included with this version of the game), which you use to command your troops. This totally unique concept of voice commands in such a game works surprisingly well. You can use commands to direct soldiers out of the Odama's way and into the fray. Also command your pinball skills to successfully lead the Ninten Bell to its destination before sunset in each mission. Using the L+R buttons to control the flippers, the X button to activate the microphone, and the control stick to tilt the battlefield, the controls in Odama are quite simple for today's standards. Odama features a narrator that talks about the story in Japanese, but there are English subtitles. Players also can tilt the battlefield, allowing them to alter the course of the Odama once they have hit it into the fray. NEW. Includes Box, Case, Game Disk, Microphone and Instruction Manual - Plays on Gamecube or Wi - Rated E for Everyone. Rarity Rating D
